Our Mission
To make it easy to find sustainable businesses in Sheffield. Small businesses get a sustainability profile of the positives and areas to improve found in public evidence, and larger businesses get an ESG score out of 10. Both sit alongside the community's own love for local favourites.
We believe finding eco-friendly businesses shouldn't require a PhD in sustainability—it should be as simple and delightful as getting recommendations from your most environmentally-conscious friend, backed by data you can trust.

How we assess: Evidence, Not Guesswork
Each business is researched from public evidence. Small businesses have too small a digital footprint for a reliable number, so they get a profile of what we found, good and not so good. Larger businesses get an ESG score.
How profiles and scores are made
Each business is researched from public sources such as its website and certifications. For a small business we write up the positives and the areas to improve we found. For a larger business the evidence is scored for environmental, social and governance practice and combined into one ESG score out of 10.
Community-Verified Insights
Visitors can show love for a business, and business owners can claim their listing to add their own information.
Free to browse
Browsing businesses, their profiles and ESG scores needs no account. Detailed breakdowns are available when you sign in.
Transparent methodology
The weights are public: environmental 35%, social 45%, governance 20%. They apply to larger businesses only. Small businesses never get a number.
Simple to read
One score out of 10 with a named band, so you can compare businesses at a glance.

Revive Sheffield lists Sheffield businesses only for now. We would rather be accurate about one city than vague about many.
